I found a secret...
I liked the game quite a bit! The "dark" secret totem was interesting, although I suppose it was flavor text. The one suggestion I would have is making run toggleable somehow. Holding down shift for the whole thing was a tad annoying.
I also had a weird bug where after I died, sprinting did not seem to work at all, and the hint to use shift to sprint did not show either. Closing fully and restarting fixed it though.
Hey there! Thanks for the feedback, I do agree that holding shift is annoying, but I'm not silly sure how I would accomplish that via PlayMaker. The shift not working after a respawn is a new edge case I never encountered so thanks for letting me know!
it's secret?
You found it!
I found your game using the GDU courses and starting the Intermediate stage. I'm looking through Itch to find games that I might like to use as inspiration. I can't wait to play your game and its so good to see more people here from the course!
Hey! Great to see another GDU student as well! Let me know when you get yours done and I would love to play it :)
The sincere words of gratitude and appreciation presented throughout this game page and end credits are what makes finding small, heartfelt and creatively inspiring indie games the best part of my day.
** edit: I did not find the in-game secret **
Thanks for playing and taking the time to make a video on the game! It still blows my mind anyone would want to and I look forward to watching it tomorrow! I always try to remember who allowed me to be where I am today and allows me to keep doing what I'm doing. Thanking those who make it possible is the least I can do :)
I really enjoyed the game and I like the extra touches.
The rays on the totems were great as they made me know where to go next and the particles around the totems look really nice.
Great job and good luck with the next project.
Thank you very much! I'm glad you love the particles! I really wanted something unique that was magical but not gimicky so I'm glad I was able to achieve that!
awesome little game! Incredible atmosphere!
My vid here:
Oh wow! Thank you! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it and want more!
I used this game as a way to learn how to use Playmaker for Unity as I was getting burnt out on manually coding (been doing that for a while).
I can't promise that I will develop this further, but I will say there is a secret in the game I noticed you didn't discover.
So if you want to see if you can find it you can enjoy just a bit more story :)
Found it! I will be uploading the vid on Thursday! thanks for the tip! :-D awesome job
Thanks so much! Happy to provide :)
Looking forward to this release.
